The Trust is the only member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature with 50 years’ family planning expertise. The Trust also holds Observer Status with both the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the United Nations Environment Programme. In 2019, the Trust implemented a new strategic action, using the Trust’s unique status and expertise in both the reproductive health and rights and environmental conservation sectors, to normalise the consideration of barriers to family planning as relevant for environmental conservation. On 11 July 2019, World Population Day, the Trust will be launching its Thriving Together campaign. Come back then to learn more.
Other recent cross-sectoral work includes our report, co-authored with the Cheetah Conservation Fund, “The importance of human reproductive health and rights for cheetah conservation” which you can download here.
