Lecture on Demand Menopause and HRT: an overview

Recorded on: 10 March 2025

Speaker: Michael Savvas

Topics include:

  • "I can never get the same GP to have continual care, nor have I been able to get a GP who fully understands menopause. [...] She did not listen to the symptoms or how I was feeling which led me to giving up. I feel I am battling alone." - Healthwatch’s “Menopause and Me Report” (November 2024)

  • Reports show that women often see a healthcare provider with symptoms several different times before they receive a diagnosis and treatment for menopause. Upskilling healthcare professionals at all levels to confidently support women experiencing menopause is a key part of our work to embed quality sexual and contraception health in all levels of healthcare. This lecture is for any healthcare professional who wants to start their learning journey of menopause and HRT.

  • Our "Menopause and HRT: an overview" gives you the knowledge and confidence to identify symptoms of menopause and what treatment and management options are currently available. This one hour video resource will give you:

  • • A foundational understanding of menopause and the symptoms;
    • An insight into the HRT options available including risks, benefits and the latest research; and
    • The knowledge to have evidence-based conversations with women about HRT and side effects, including cancer risks.

  • Once purchased, you can keep coming back to this learning resource. This lecture will be removed December 2025.
